World Exploration
World Explorers ~ Explore the world right here at home! The World Explorers program takes kids on a trip around the world. During each themed session, kids explore multiple countries through fun, engaging, hands-on activities. For each country, we explore languages, food, music, art, history, geography, sports, and more! Explorers receive a passport to keep track of their travels! This program accommodates four age groups: 6 – 8 years of age (Rising 1st – 3rd graders), 9 – 11 years of age (Rising 4th – 6th graders), 12 – 14 years of age (Rising 7th – 9th graders), and 15-18 years of age (Rising 10th – 12th graders).
Sessions include, but are not limited to:
- Europe – France, Spain, Germany, Italy and Russia
- Asia & Africa – Japan, India, China, Morocco, and Kenya
- The Americas – Mexico, Canada, The United States, Brazil, and the Caribbean
Math & Science
Be a World Scientist – This program introduces kids to world scientists. Every day, kids explore, construct, and conduct experiments and projects reminiscent of those conducted by each of the scientists explored during the program . This program also incorporates the country and language of origin of each scientist. Participants receive a passport to keep track of their exploration. This program accommodates four age groups: 6 – 8 years of age (Rising 1st – 3rd graders), 9 – 11 years of age (Rising 4th – 6th graders), 12 – 14 years of age (Rising 7th – 9th graders), 15 – 18 years of age (Rising 10th – 12th graders).

Mathematics Explorers – Explore the world of mathematics through interesting, hands-on projects, games, and experiments designed to teach advanced concepts. This program is so much fun, kids won’t even realize they are strengthening their math skills! This program accommodates four age groups: 6 – 8 years of age (Rising 1st – 3rd graders), 9 – 11 years of age (Rising 4th – 6th graders), 12 – 14 years of age (Rising 7th – 9th graders), 15 – 18 years of age (Rising 10th – 12th graders).
Mathematics Mastery – This program helps middle and high school students master important concepts in a fun, hands-on way through interesting, hands-on projects, games, and experiments designed to teach advanced concepts. This program is designed for middle and high school students.
Art & Language
Be a World Artist ~ This program introduces kids to works of art by famous world artists. Every day, kids create their own masterpieces in the styles explored during each session. This program also incorporates the country and language of origin of each artist. Participants receive a passport to keep track of their exploration. This program accommodates four age groups: 6 – 8 years of age (Rising 1st – 3rd graders), 9 – 11 years of age (Rising 4th – 6th graders), 12 – 14 years of age (Rising 7th – 9th graders), 15 – 18 years of age (Rising 10th – 12th graders).

Be a French Artist ~ French Language instruction is offered in combination with the French artists of the “Be a World Artist” program, offering kids the opportunity to combine French language learning with in-depth exploration of French art. Participants will also create their own masterpieces by exploring the art of Monet, Rodin, Matisse, Braque, and Chagall. This program accommodates four age groups: 6 – 8 years of age (Rising 1st – 3rd graders), 9 – 11 years of age (Rising 4th – 6th graders), 12 – 14 years of age (Rising 7th – 9th graders), 15 – 18 years of age (Rising 10th – 12th graders).
Session 1: “Be a French Artist” Language and Art Exploration
Children are introduced to 19th and 20th Century French artists and art while learning beginning French language skills. This week-long program introduces kids to 5 French artists, one per day, culminating in a “create your own masterpiece” during each session. Participants will paint, sculpt, and create collage art in impressionist, realist, surrealist, avant-garde, cubist, and fauvist styles. Upon completion, participants may move on to a more in-depth language and art experience via the “Be a French Artist” Impressionist and Modern Artist programs.
Sessions 2 and 3: “Be a French Artist” In-Depth Language and Art
Once kids have been introduced to major French artists and styles of the 19th and 20th centuries and beginning French language, they can choose to continue to work in a favorite style while continuing to learn the French language. During each one session, participants will build upon their beginning language skills to learn to speak French in the past and future tenses and expand their vocabulary.
Be a French Impressionist – builds upon present tense French language skills and learning to speak in the future tense, while focusing on creating masterpieces reminiscent of French Impressionists such as Monet, Renoir, Cassatt, Morisot, and Degas.
Be a French Modern Artist – reviews present and future tense language skills while introducing past tense French language skills. Participants spend half of the session creating masterpieces in sculpture reminiscent of 19th and 20th Century artists such as Rodin, Claudel, Degas, and Bourdelle. The second is spent creating painting and multimedia masterpieces reminiscent of post Impressionists such as Chagall, Toulouse-Lautrec, Braque, and Matisse. Kids can choose the style(s) upon which they will focus.
Let’s Learn to Speak French! ~ There is no better way to learn a language than to be immersed in it. We offer all-day and half-day French language programs for kids of all ages. Children will participate in fun and engaging activities aimed at getting them started in learning a second or third language. If your child already speaks Creole or Spanish, this camp is a great choice to develop skills in multiple languages! This program accommodates four age groups: 6 – 8 years of age (Rising 1st – 3rd graders), 9 – 11 years of age (Rising 4th – 6th graders), 12 – 14 years of age (Rising 7th – 9th graders), 15 – 18 years of age (Rising 10th – 12th graders).

Excited about English! ~ Similar to our French language program, this program provides English language instruction for kids whose first language is not English. Children will participate in fun and engaging activities aimed sharpening their English language skills in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension. Excited about English! can be combined with the World Explorers program, or any of our other programs, to provide a unique educational experience in the context of a strong focus on the development of English language skills.
